Ramón Esteve

Ramón Esteve Cambra is the founder and director of Ramón Esteve Estudio de Arquitectura since 1991. With a PhD in architecture from the Polytechnic University of Valencia and a degree in architecture from the Escuela Superior de Madrid, he works in the field of architecture and interior design, as well as in industrial design and art direction, both nationally and internationally. His portfolio includes extensive experience in public health and cultural works, in private buildings for public use such as offices, hotels, restaurants or ephemeral architecture installations and in exclusive single-family homes. In the area of design and artistic direction, he has worked with prestigious brands such as Vondom, Gandía Blasco and Porcelanosa, as well as with MDF Italia and the American firms Danao and RH -Restoration Hardware-. For 15 years he has been teaching at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, as well as in private Masters in centres such as the UCH-CEU or Barreira.

His work has been recognised with various awards such as the COACV Award 2003-2004 for the Príncipe Felipe Research Centre, the European Design Award 2011 for the NH Palacio de Tepa or the Land Rover Born Award 2018 for his work on the rehabilitation and reconstruction project Bombas Gens Centre d'Art. In the field of Design, his work has won prestigious international awards such as the Red Dot Award, Good Design Award, Archiproducts Design Award or the Wallpaper Award.

In recent years his name has featured in Architectural Digest magazine’s annual AD100 selection of international architects, designers and interior designers. In 2018 Forbes included him in its list of the 100 most creative minds, and in 2017 he was named one of the world’s most influential designers by Architonic.
